Women’s Lacrosse Releases 2023 Schedule

The Midshipmen play 17 regular season games, including seven home games.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy women's lacrosse team officially announced its 2023 schedule. The Midshipmen play 17 regular season games, including seven home games. The Mids will play four regular season games against teams that participated in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, including three at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
 
Navy opens up the season with a four-game road trip. The 2023 campaign kicks off at 2022 NCAA Tournament participant Duke on Friday, Feb. 10 in Durham, N.C. The Mids continue the North Carolina weekend on Sunday, Feb. 12 at East Carolina. Navy closes out the month of February with road games at Monmouth (Saturday, Feb. 18) and at Villanova (Saturday, Feb. 25).
 
The Midshipmen open up the home slate with a game against Oregon on Friday, March 3 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium before playing at Richmond on Sunday, March 5.
 
Navy closes out the nonconference portion of the schedule with a pair of midweek home games against NCAA Tournament teams. The Mids begin the two-game homestand against Mount St. Mary's on Wednesday, March 8 before closing out the nonconference schedule versus Jacksonville on Wednesday, March 15.
 
The Mids start Patriot League competition with a pair of road contests. Navy travels to Lewisburg, Pa. to take on Bucknell in the conference opener on Saturday, March 18. The following weekend (Saturday, March 25), the Midshipmen take on Lehigh in Bethlehem, Pa.
 
Navy returns home for a midweek conference game against Lafayette on Wednesday, March 29, before continuing league play in Annapolis versus Colgate on Saturday, April 1.
 
The Midshipmen travel to Boston on Saturday, April 8 before hosting Holy Cross on Saturday, April 15.
 
On Wednesday, April 19, the Mids travel to Washington, D.C. for a game against American.
 
The annual Star Game, which is part of the overall Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA, will be in West Point, N.Y. on Saturday, April 22.
 
Following the Army-Navy tilt, the Midshipmen host NCAA Quarterfinalist Loyola to conclude the regular season on Friday, April 28.
 
The Patriot League Tournament will feature six teams with the top two seeds receiving a bye, while quarterfinal contests will be played between the 3-6 and 4-5 seeds on Sunday, April 30. The Patriot League semifinals will be played on Thursday, May 4 at the site of the top seed with the championship slated for Saturday, May 6.
 
The NCAA Tournament begins on Friday, May 12 and concludes with the National Championship game at Wakemed Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. on Sunday, May 28.
