BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Navy water polo team remained ranked No. 20 in the National Top-20 poll, as announced on Wednesday by the Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA).
This is the second consecutive week that the Midshipmen have been ranked during the 2022 season, after receiving votes in the preseason poll.
Navy went 2-1 to at the Princeton Invitational last weekend. The Midshipmen opened the weekend with a 9-8 overtime win against Santa Clara, before posting a 13-11 victory against Iona. The Mids were edged, 11-9, against No. 18 St. Francis Brooklyn in the final game of the tournament.
Navy returns to action this week with four games out west. The Mids open the week with a Thursday evening game against Air Force (7:30 p.m. ET). The Falcons are receiving votes in the most recent CWPA National Poll. Navy continues the road trip to the Aggie Roundup on Saturday and Sunday in Davis, Calif. At the tournament, the Midshipmen will face No. 3 USC (Saturday, 4:00 p.m. ET), Occidental (Saturday, 6:30 p.m. ET), and No. 10 San Jose State (Sunday, 12:15 p.m.).
