Kiefer Black Headlines Water Polo All-Tournament Honorees

Kiefer Black, who was one of five Midshipmen named All-Tournament team, was the only Navy player to be selected to the first team.

BRIDGEPORT, Pa. – The Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) announced its 2025 All-Tournament teams and Navy water polo placed five student-athletes on the various teams. Junior Kiefer Black was named First Team All-MAWPC Tournament, while sophomores Quinn Bartlett and Ryan Munch were named to the second team. Additionally, junior Luka Sekulic and freshman Jack Reif earned honorable mention honors.
 
Fordham's Luca Silvestri was announced as the Tournament MVP, while the Rams' Diego Tresa claimed Rookie of the Tournament honors. George Washington's head coach Barry King was selected as the Coach of the Tournament.
 
Black, who was named First Team All-MAWPC Tournament for the third straight season, led the Midshipmen in the tournament, finishing with a team-high 11 points on five goals and a team-high six assists. The junior notched at least one goal in all three games. In limited action against Mercyhurst, Black was able to find the back of the net once. He followed that performance with two goals and a pair of assists against George Washington before concluding the weekend with a team-high six points on a pair of goals and a team-best four helpers against Wagner. Defensively, Black added seven steals and a pair of ejections drawn.
 
Bartlett finished the tournament with a team-best six goals to go along with a pair of assists to finish with eight total points. The sophomore, who earned Second Team All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference prior to the tournament, scored goals in all three games played. He notched a goal in the opener against Mercyhurst, while registering a hat trick against George Washington. Bartlett added two assists against the Revolutionaries to lead the squad with five points. Against Wagner, he finished with two goals, including the go-ahead goal in the fourth quarter to help lead the Midshipmen to a win. Additionally, Bartlett earned five ejections.
 
For the second consecutive season, Munch was selected to the all-tournament team, improving from honorable mention as a freshman to second team as a sophomore. The goalkeeper finished the tournament with 18 saves with just 11 goals allowed in two games played. The sophomore opened the tournament with six saves and no goals allowed in a quarter of play against Mercyhurst. Munch worked a complete game against George Washington, finishing with 12 stops against the Revolutionaries.
 
Sekulic earned All-MAWPC Tournament for the first time in hi three-year career, being named honorable mention. The junior finished the weekend with three points on two goals, one assist, two steals, and one ejection drawn. Sekulic opened the weekend with a takeaway against Mercyhurst before notching an assist and a steal versus George Washington. In the weekend finale, he scored a pair of goals to go along with an ejection drawn.
 
Playing in his first Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference Tournament, Reif was selected to the all-tournament team as an honorable mention choice. The freshman finished the weekend with three points on two goals and an assist while adding a steal and a pair of ejections drawn. Against Mercyhurst, he finished with a helper and drew a kickout. Reif found the back of the net twice against George Washington, adding an ejection drawn. He registered a steal in the finale against Wagner.
