Homestand for Volleyball Continues with Matches Friday and Saturday

•    Navy's five-match homestand continues this weekend as the Mids (6-7, 3-1) play host to Lafayette (4-7, 1-3) on Friday (7 p.m.) and Lehigh (10-6, 1-3) on Saturday (4 p.m.).  
•    Lehigh will play a Friday match at American prior to facing the Mids on Saturday.
•    Both of Navy's matches will be played in the Wesley A. Brown Field House and be streamed on ESPN+.
•    Live statistics will be available for each match through NavySports.com.
•    Fans without a Department of Defense ID card must park outside of the USNA and either walk through the gate one visitors center or ride the shuttle bus.  Shuttle bus service begins one hour prior to the start of the match.  It will depart from and return to the blue (west) parking lot at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (550 Taylor Ave., Annapolis, MD, 21401) on both Friday and Saturday.

Last Week
•    Navy began the homestand by playing host to Loyola and American.
•    Navy rallied after losing sets two and three to defeat Loyola, 25-22, 16-25, 26-28, 25-16, 15-11.
•    Navy doubled the number of aces Loyola had, 6-3, and held an 11-5 edge in blocks.
•    Ashley Warren set career highs with 19 kills and five blocks and added a .390 hitting percentage.
•    Averi Miller recorded 45 assists and 13 digs, Hannah Hoover had four aces and 18 digs and Maggie Bodman tallied 11 kills and six blocks.
•    Navy rallied again the next day against American for a 21-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-18 victory.
•    Navy held advantages of 59-37 in kills, .219-.123 in hitting percentage and 57-49 in digs.
•    Jamie Llewellyn recorded 16 kills and 13 digs and Jordan Llewellyn notched 16 kills, 13 digs, five blocks and four aces.
•    Averi Miller did a good job of distributing the ball as each of the five hitters had at least eight kills and 16 attempts.  She ended the match with 47 helpers.
•    Miller was named the Patriot League Player of the Week on Tuesday for her efforts on the weekend.

Next Week
•     Navy concludes its five-match homestand with a Friday night match against Colgate.  The Mids then play the first of back-to-back road matches Sunday at Bucknell.

Lafayette Preview
•    Lafayette heads to Annapolis with an overall record of 4-7 and a Patriot League record of 1-3.
•    The Leopards began their league season with a four-set win over Lehigh, but since have lost three-set matches to Bucknell, Colgate and Army, teams that have combined for an 11-1 record in league matches.  Six of the nine sets in those league losses have been by five or fewer points, with all nine sets being decided by no more than seven points.
•    Navy leads Lafayette in the all-time series, 47-12, which dates back to October 1979.  This includes a 21-6 lead in matches played in Annapolis.
•    Navy also leads Lafayette, 42-10, in Patriot League regular season matches, a record that includes a 21-5 advantage in league matches played at Navy.
•    Lafayette posted a pair of four-set wins over Navy last season.  The Leopards defeated the Mids, 25-13, 25-23, 19-25, 25-22 in Annapolis and 25-17, 25-21, 23-25, 25-16 in Easton.

Lehigh Preview
•    Lehigh travels to a Friday match at American with an overall record of 10-6 and 1-3 mark in league matches.
•    The Mountain Hawks have lost to Lafayette (4 sets), Bucknell (3) and Army (4) and defeated Holy Cross (4) in league play.
•    Navy leads the all-time series with Lehigh, 37-29.  This includes a 20-11 advantage in matches played in Annapolis.
•    The Mids also hold a lead of 29-23 record against the Mountain Hawks in Patriot League regular season matches played between the programs.  Their advantage is 18-9 in league matches played at Navy.
•    The teams split their two matches last season, with the home team winning each match.  The Mountain Hawks first won a 26-24, 25-15, 17-25, 22-25, 15-11 match in Bethlehem and then the Mids posted a 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 victory in Annapolis.

Statistical Notes
•    Maggie Bodman is averaging 2.25 kills per set (72 kills, 32 sets) and hitting .359 (72-19-151) over the last eight matches.
•     Hannah Hoover is averaging 4.22 digs per set over the last eight matches (135 digs, 32 sets). 
•    Jamie Llewellyn is averaging 3.22 kills per set (87 kills, 27 sets) and 2.59 digs per set (70 digs) over the last seven matches.
•    Jordan Llewellyn is averaging 3.58 kills per set (68 kills, 19 sets) over the last five matches.
•    Averi Miller is averaging 10.44 assists per set (334 assists, 32 sets) over the last eight matches and 2.29 digs per set (64 digs, 28 sets) over the last seven matches.
