ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy offshore sailing team saw its first event of the fall cancelled due to unfavorable conditions on Saturday, as the wind was not sufficient to hold any races in the Annapolis Labor Day Regatta.
The regatta fleet loitered in the racing area becalmed for over two hours before the race committee decided to send everyone in.
The Midshipmen are slated for next weekend's Navy Sailing Race to Oxford, where the Mids plan to have seven crews competing.
