ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy junior linebacker Colin Ramos has been named the American Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in Saturday's 31-6 win over UAB.

Ramos, who ranks second in the AAC in tackles at 8.3 per game, had a game-high and season-high 12 tackles with a sack, a pass breakup and a quarterback hurry to help protect a lead that was 10-6 into the fourth quarter as the Navy defense held their third opponent of the season without a touchdown. The Navy defense held UAB, who entered play averaging 452 yards of total offense per game, to just 321 yards.

Navy (4-5) will play host to East Carolina (2-8) on Saturday on Senior Day in a game that will get underway at 12 noon on ESPNEWS and the Navy Radio Network.  Tickets still remain and can be purchased at navysports.com or by calling 1-800-US4-NAVY.
