ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The No. 18 Navy water polo team (19-5, 9-3) is set to compete in the 2023 Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) Tournament this weekend at Kinney Natatorium in Lewisburg, Pa. The second-seeded Midshipmen open the tournament on Friday, Nov. 17 at 4:30 p.m. against seventh-seeded Johns Hopkins (5-17, 1-11). The tournament continues through Sunday, Nov. 19, with the championship game slated for 12:00 p.m.
Tournament Information
The road to the 2023 NCAA Men's Water Polo Championship will run through Lewisburg, Pa., as Bucknell, Fordham, George Washington, Johns Hopkins, Mount St. Mary's, Navy, and Wagner will compete in the 2023 MAWPC Championship on Friday-Sunday, November 17-18, at Kinney Natatorium in Lewisburg, Pa. on the campus of Bucknell.
The seven teams will take to the water to decide which program is the best-of the-best and qualifies for the NCAA Championship via an automatic bid.
For fans attending the MAWPC Championship, ticket prices are $25 for a three-day tournament pass or $10 for a one-day pass. Bucknell students, faculty and staff with a valid college ID, and senior citizens 65 and older, will be admitted at discounted prices of $10 (tournament pass) and $5 (one-day pass). All children 12 and under are free of charge. All tickets are exclusively available at the door as there will be no presale in advance of the championship.

Scouting the Midshipmen
The Mids finished the regular season with a 19-5 overall record with a 9-3 mark in the MAWPC.
Offensively, the Midshipmen have tallied 332 goals in 24 games (13.8 gpg) with 23 different student-athletes finding the back of the net. Navy is led by freshmen
Kiefer Black,
Aiden Day, and
Sam Collingwood, who have 107, 49, and 44 points, respectively. Black leads the team with 58 goals and a team-high 49 assists, while Day is second on the squad with 37 goals. Collingwood and
Hayden Kahn follow with 33 goals apiece, while
Nathan Duchez rounds out Navy's top five with 21 goals.

Caden Capobianco has seen a majority of time between the posts. The senior team captain has appeared in 20 games, notching 201 saves and a 56.0 save percentage.
In addition, Capobianco leads the team with 49 steals. Black is the team's leading position player with 33 steals, while
