BETHLEHEM, Pa. -- Navy's Anna Klemeyer was named to the Patriot League All-Academic Team for volleyball, the league office announced today.

This is the second year in a row Klemeyer has earned selection to the team.  She joins Erin Fortner and Patricia Mattingly as the only Mids to have made multiple appearances on the team since it was established in 2010.

Nominees for the award needed to be at least a sophomore in the classroom, carry a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.20 and be a starter or key reserve on the team.

The senior computer science major carries a 3.93 cumulative GPA.  Klemeyer is ranked 65th in her class on the Overall Order of Merit and has attained a 4.00 GPA in two semesters.

On the court, the middle hitter is ranked second in the league and 74th nationally with a .360 hitting percentage.  That mark is the best for any Navy player during the sport's rally scoring era (since 2001) and ranks second overall (1994-present).  

Klemeyer has registered 177 of her career 359 kills (49%) this season.  Defensively, she also ranks fifth at Navy among rally scoring players and sixth overall with an average of 0.88 blocks per set for her career.

She earned Second-Team All-Patriot League honors earlier this week.
