ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Sasha Panyan (Jr., Lutherville, Md.) and Herrick Legaspi (Fr., Sacramento, Calif.) each posted victories in singles and doubles during a 4-0 win by the Navy men's tennis team over Richmond (4-3), Saturday morning at the Tose Family Tennis Center in Annapolis, Md.  The Mids (7-7) would go on to lose a 7-0 decision to Delaware (4-2) later in the day at the facility.

Navy 4, Richmond 0
Panyan paired with Luke Garner (So., Arnold, Md.) for a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles.  That victory coupled with a 6-3 win at No. 3 doubles by the team of Legaspi and Nicholas Nguyen (Jr., McLean, Va.) gave the Mids the 1-0 lead.

Gavin Segraves (Sr., Charlottesville, Va.) earned the second point of the match as he won a 6-2, 6-2 decision at No. 2 singles.  Panyan followed with a 6-3, 6-4 victory at the No. 1 flight, then play was halted after Legapsi won a 6-4, 6-2 match at No. 4 singles.

Navy was leading in two matches and tied in the third match when Legaspi placed the team's fourth point on the scoreboard.

Delaware 7, Navy 0
The doubles point was not decided until the third match was completed.  Navy's win came at the No. 2 flight where Aniketh Ayinala (Fr., Charlotte, N.C.) and J.J. Etterbeek (Fr., Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) tallied a 6-1 win.  

Delaware won straight-set matches at the Nos. 4-5-6 flights to secure the overall victory.  Two of the remaining three matches saw Navy players lose in third-set tiebreakers by scores of 11-9 and 10-8, respectively.

Navy heads to Florida for a pair of matches on Feb. 18.  The Mids will play at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla., and Air Force at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.  The men's and women's team from the two service academy programs will compete against one another, with both matches airing on ESPN+.
