Mids to Close Season Series with Holy Cross Saturday in Massachusetts

The Navy (12-11, 5-6) men's basketball team heads back out on the road this weekend to close its season series with Holy Cross (8-16, 5-6) with a Saturday afternoon game (2 p.m.) in Worcester.

Five Starting Notes
1 – Saturday's game is the fourth road game in a five-game stretch for the Mids.  Navy will play just two road games over the last six games of the regular season, with one of those two road games being a short drive to Washington, D.C., to face American.
2 – Five of the last seven games in the Navy-Holy Cross series have been decided by single digits.
3 – With one more point, Tyler Nelson will become the 11th Mid on the team to set a new personal single-season scoring high this year.
4 – Sean Yoder enters the weekend with 99 career games played.  Nelson played career game No. 100 Jan. 21 at Army.
5 – Seniors at the USNA who received surface warfare officer for their service assignment selected their initial ships on Feb. 2.  Christian Jones selected the USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62), a destroyer based in San Diego, Calif.  Tyler Nelson selected the USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7), a landing helicopter dock ship based in Norfolk, Va.
