LEWISBURG, Pa. - The Navy wrestling team (4-6, 3-1) won its 21st consecutive dual over Bucknell (6-7, 4-4) with a 25-9 victory on Saturday in Lewisburg, Pa., improving to 25-1 in the all-time series. Navy claimed wins at 165, 174, 184, 197, 125, 141 and 149-pounds, earning bonus points with a major decision at 125Â a fall at 149-pounds.

Navy jumped out to a 12-0 lead through the first four bouts, starting off with a win from
Val Park (165-pounds). Park prevented Riley Bower from scoring any points in the match, winning by a 4-0 decision to give Navy a 3-0 lead. The senior claimed his fourth dual win of the season and the tenth of his career.

Sammy Starr (174-pounds) and
Cael Crebs (184-pounds) both bounced back with wins after taking losses last night versus Lock Haven. Starr defeated Sam Barnes by a 6-2 decision for his 30th career victory and 17th of his sophomore campaign. Crebs won his fourth career match over a Bucknell wrestler with a 7-4 decision over Mason McCready for his first win of the season and his fifth career dual victory.

Jacob Koser (197-pounds) claimed the fourth straight bout for Navy with a 6-0 shutout decision win over Nolan Springer. Navy's team captain earned his 75th victory and improved to 7-1 versus Bucknell wrestlers in his career.

Bucknell got on the board with a victory in the heavyweight match but
Dayton DelViscio (125-pounds) answered with a dominant win in the 125-pound bout, defeating Grayson McLellan by a 10-2 major decision to put the Mids up 16-3.

The next two matches featured battles with both wrestlers ranked. In the 133-pound bout, 23rd-ranked Kurt Phipps defeated 31st-ranked
Brendan Ferretti for Bucknell's second win of the dual but 30th-ranked
Josh Koderhandt (141-pounds) responded with a win for Navy over 33rd-ranked Darren Miller to clinch the dual for Navy. Koderhandt edged Miller by a 4-3 decision, improving to 2-1 all-time versus Miller. The sophomore won his 15th career dual match and his 11th over a nationally ranked wrestler.

Kaemen Smith (149-pounds) earned Navy the most points of the dual with a fall victory (4:01) over Dylan Chappell for his second career dual win and fourth by fall in his freshman campaign.

Navy will enjoy a break from competition next week before concluding the regular season with the annual Star Match versus rival Army as part of the overall Army-Navy Star Series presented by USAA. The dual is slated to take place Sunday, Feb. 19 at 2:00 p.m. in West Point, N.Y.
