All-Time Series
JACKSONVILLE:
The game between Navy and Jacksonville will mark the second meeting between the two teams with the Midshipmen claiming a 13-12 victory in overtime in the previous game back in 2013.

In the only meeting between the two teams, senior attacker Jasmine DePompeo ('13) scored the game-winning goal in the sudden-victory second overtime as No. 14 Navy downed Jacksonville, 13-12, on Senior Day at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

The Mids overcame an 11-7 second-half deficit with a 5-0 run before Jacksonville scored the final goal of regulation to force overtime. After a scoreless period-and-a-half of overtime, Navy sophomore midfielder Lindsay Rheiner ('15) controlled the draw to start the second three-minute stanza of double overtime. Sophomore attacker Loren Generi ('15) received the ball and sent DePompeo on a curl around the back of the cage and the senior co-captain scored with 2:24 remaining to give Navy its 15th win of the season.

BUCKNELL: The Midshipmen and Bison meet for the 15th time in school history on Saturday. The Mids hold a 14-0 advantage in the series, including a 6-0 mark in Lewisburg. The game will be the Patriot League opener for both Navy and Bucknell.

The two teams have meet on the lacrosse field each season except one, dating back to the Mids' inaugural season in 2008. The two teams did not play against one another in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, marking the first and only time in program history the two teams did not meet during a season.

Last season, the No. 17 Midshipmen posted a 15-3 victory over Bucknell at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The Midshipmen opened the game with a 9-0 run and never looked back en route to the 12-goal victory.

Yovino Tabbed Patriot League Rookie of the Week
The Patriot League announced its weekly women's lacrosse award winners and Navy freshman Ava Yovino (Parkland, Fla.) was tabbed PL Rookie of the Week for her efforts in the Mids' 16-8 victory over Mount St. Mary's. It is the second-consecutive Rookie of the Week accolade for Yovino and the third of the season for the freshman.
