ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Eight players recorded at least one victory during a 7-0 win by the Navy men's tennis team (14-18, 3-0) over Loyola (6-10, 1-4), Sunday afternoon at the McClure Tennis Center in Baltimore, Md. Navy also lost a 6-1 decision to William & Mary (8-9), Sunday in Williamsburg, Va.

The Mids lost a combined six games in sweeping the three doubles matches.
Aniketh Ayinala (Fr., Charlotte, N.C.) and
J.J. Etterbeek (Fr., Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) dropped just one game in defeating Jorge Quintana and Gil Rivera-Gordilla at the No. 3 flight.
Luke Garner (So., Arnold, Md.) and
Herrick Legaspi (Fr., Sacramento, Calif.) followed with a 6-2 win against Matt Cardano and Oliver Davey at No. 2 doubles. Completing the sweep was the No. 1 team of
Finn Garner (Sr., Arnold, Md.) and
Gavin Segraves (Sr., Charlottesville, Va.) with its 6-3 victory over Nick Haggar and Nick Lawless.
"J.J. and Aniketh got off to a great start in doubles to help us win the doubles point," said Navy head coach
Chris Garner. "In singles, J.J. and Gavin really performed well in both sets. Graydon kept his poise in a close second set to earn a win, too."
Navy then won each of the six singles matches in straight sets. Etterbeek was the first Mid to finish as he posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over Trevor Girandola at No. 5 singles. Segraves didn't lose a game in defeating Davey at the No. 2 flight.
Sasha Panyan (Jr., Lutherville, Md.) gave the Mids their fourth team point when he beat Cardano, 6-1, 6-4, at No. 1 singles.
Legaspi followed with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Dylan Koziol at the No. 4 flight.
Luke Garner kept Navy's run going with his 6-2, 6-4 win over Lawless at No. 3 singles, then
Graydon Buckingham (Fr., Daufuskie Island, S.C.) finished played with a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) win over Quintana at No. 6 singles.
William & Mary 6, Navy 1
Victories at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles gave the Tribe a 1-0 lead. William & Mary then won four straight-set singles matches to secure the win.
Navy's
Christian Pumpelly (Sr., Atlanta, Ga.) won a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-4) match at No. 3 singles and
Nathan Nguyen (Fr., McLean, Va.) was edged, 5-7, 6-4, 1-0 (10-1) at No. 1 singles.

Navy will play four matches over Easter weekend. The Mids will be on the road Saturday for matches at Drexel and Bucknell, then on Sunday will play host to Colgate and play at George Mason.
