ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Austin Inge (Greensboro, N.C.) has been named the 2023-24 captain for the Navy men's basketball team, head coach Ed DeChellis announced today.

The rising senior guard has started 35 of his 74 career games, with 24 of those starts coming during the 2022-23 campaign. He set personal season highs this past year for points (180), assists (70), field goal percentage (40.9%), three-point field goals made (13) and minutes played (682).  

Inge scored in double figures in six games during his junior season, which included a career-high 21-point outing at VMI, and dished out three or more assists in 10 games.

He is the lone returning starter and one of eight returning letter winners from Navy's 2022-23 team that posted an overall record of 18-13 and tied for second place in the Patriot League with an 11-7 record.
