ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- Jamie Llewellyn from the volleyball team has been selected as this week's Naval Academy Athletic Association (NAAA) Athlete of the Week, presented by Northrop Grumman.

Llewellyn helped the Mids to a 2-1 record at last weekend's UAlbany Invitational when she averaged 3.80 kills and 2.00 digs per set to go along with five total aces.  She recorded nine kills and hit .300 in a three-set win over Syracuse, 12 kills and six digs in a four-set loss to UCF and 17 kills, nine digs and a .382 hitting percentage in a three-set win over the host Great Danes.

Llewellyn and teammate Anna Klemeyer were named to the all-tournament team after the end of the event.

Navy will open its home slate this weekend when it plays host to the 12th edition of the Kristen Dickmann Invitational.  The Mids will face Utah Valley Friday at 7 p.m., Old Dominion Saturday at 7 p.m. and Maryland Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Wesley A. Brown Field House.
