ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Navy women's rugby flanker
Miracle Haynes received second-team all-league recognition from the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association (NIRA), the league announced Wednesday afternoon.
Haynes is one of 15 athletes to garner Second-Team All-NIRA recognition and one of 40 to claim all-league honors.
The Beaumont, Texas, native finished in a tie with
Charlotte d'Halluin for second on the team in tries scored (three) and third in scoring (15 points) this season.
Haynes played a vital role in helping the Mids defeat Long Island, 19-18, for their first victory against a NIRA opponent. The junior scored two tries in the match, including the go-ahead score in the 75th minute. She also accounted for a try in the first Star Match against Army.
