ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy men's soccer head coach
Tim O'Donohue announced the team's 2024 spring schedule on Thursday, as the Midshipmen are set to play five exhibition games, including a trio of home matches at Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
Coming off its third-straight appearance in the Patriot League Tournament, Navy will open the spring against a familiar foe in UMBC on March 1. Slated for a 7 p.m. start in Baltimore, the Mids and Retrievers have tied in each of their last three regular-season meetings.
Navy then welcomes a Penn State team at 1 p.m. on March 30 that advanced to the Big Ten Championship game this past fall, before playing a 3 p.m. contest at FDU on April 6.
The Mids close out the spring with back-to-back home games, hosting league rival Loyola on April 14 and Delaware on April 20. Both matches are scheduled for 1 p.m. starts. Navy and Loyola have played to 1-1 draws in their last two regular-season meetings, while the Mids and Blue Hens played each other during the 2023 preseason.
Navy posted a 6-8-5 record in 2023, finishing 3-2-4 in Patriot League play and seeing senior midfielder
David Jackson earn Third-Team All-American honors from CollegeSoccerNews.com.
