ANNAPOLIS, Md. – For the second-straight week and the fifth time this season, Navy women's tennis junior
Emily Tannenbaum was named the Patriot League Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday.
The 2022 Patriot League Rookie of the Year and the league's 2023 Player of the Year, this marks the eighth time in Tannenbaum's career she has taken home the Patriot League Player of the Week award.
A driving force in Navy's 4-2 win over Army in Saturday' Star Match, Tannenbaum won in both her doubles and singles matches to continue her dominant Patriot League campaign. First, Tannenbaum and
Julia Lee teamed up at No. 3 doubles to cruise to a 6-1 win over the Black Knights' Isabella Brilliant and Paulina Feoli, before the junior then worked a 6-3, 6-4 victory over Cooper Jackson on the No. 1 singles court to give Navy its first point of the day.
Tannenbaum has now won five-straight and 18 of her last 19 singles matches, while also claiming victory in her last five doubles matches. For the season, she holds a program-record 31-6 singles mark and a 20-10 record in doubles play.
Navy's next match is set for April 6 at Boston University.
