Colin Ramos and Daba Fofana Named 2024 Navy Football Team Captains

ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Linebacker Colin Ramos (Wayne, N.J.) and fullback Daba Fofana (Cumming, Ga.) have been named 2024 Navy football team captains, head coach Brian Newberry announced this afternoon at the annual season-ending banquet.

Ramos has seen action in 32 games in his career, including 24 starts, and has earned three varsity letters. He has recorded 198 tackles, 18.5 tackles for a loss, six sacks, five forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception in his first-three seasons.

Ramos, who was named First-Team All-American Athletic Conference and All-East in 2023, led Navy in tackles with 110 last year. He spearheaded a defense that recorded a nation's-best three shutouts, which were the most by a Navy team since 1978. His 110 tackles were the most by a Navy player since Cody Peterson recorded 142 in 2013.

Fofana has played in 24-career games, starting 13, while earning two varsity letters. He has rushed for 1,052 yards and nine touchdowns over the past two seasons, which includes three 100-yard rushing days.

Fofana, who carries a 3.57 grade-point average while majoring in physics, has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team on two different occasions.
