ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy track and field teams will play host to the annual Wesley A. Brown Invitational on Friday and Saturday at the Wesley A. Brown Field House in Annapolis, Md. The meet will not have team scoring.
The multi events will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday and continue at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The first field event will start at 9:30 a.m. and the first track event will take place at 12 noon on Saturday.

Notes For Traveling Fans
• Vehicular access to the Naval Academy is limited to those drivers with a Department of Defense identification card.Â
• All other visitors must either park outside of the Naval Academy grounds and walk through the security gates at Gate 1 or take the complimentary shuttles from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium (550 Taylor Avenue, Annapolis, Md., 21401).Â
• The shuttles will run from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday
• Enter the blue/west parking lot through gate 5 off of Taylor Avenue.Â
• The cost of parking is $10.
• Visitors 18 years and older must present a government-issued identification card (driver's license / passport) to gain access to the Academy grounds, while visitors 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.

Track and Field Claims Four Patriot League Weekly Awards
Four Midshipmen claimed Patriot League Weekly Awards honors.
Tyler Yurich received the men's track athlete-of-the-week accolade for the first time in his career. In the 104-75 dual meet loss to Princeton, the junior posted a career-best time of 21.66 to win the 200m. The Harmony, Pa., native career day continued in the 60m sprint with a personal-best time of 6.93 to take fifth.
Sami Bollinger garnered the women's field athlete-of-the-week honor after winning the triple jump event with a leap of 11.89m (39' 0.25") against the Tigers last Saturday. Her triple jump mark leads the Patriot League this season. Bollinger was .03m shy of tying her career-best mark in the long jump (5.66m / 18' 7") as she placed third with a distance of 5.63m (18' 5.75").
Brian Schloeder was named the men's rookie-of-the-week for his performance against Princeton in the pole vault. The freshman won his first collegiate event with a height of 4.95m (16' 2.75") to secure five team points.
Bennett Pidro received the women's rookie-of-the-week award for her career day against the Tigers. Pidro clocked in the fastest 60m sprint (7.90) and the 60m hurdle (9.09) times in her career to take fifth in each event. She also set a new personal-best mark in the long jump of 5.58m (18' 3.75") to claim sixth.

Recap of Princeton Dual
The Mids dropped both dual meets against Princeton last Saturday.
Navy men's team opened the day with a 104-75 defeat from Princeton. The loss snapped a four-dual winning streak against the Tigers. It was Princeton's first victory over the Midshipmen since the 2019 season.
Navy won its first event in the mile where senior Luke Nester posted a time of 4:10.96 for five points to open his indoor season. Freshman James Partlow made his collegiate indoor debut placing fourth in the mile as he clocked a 4:14.62 for an additional team point.
The Midshipmen claimed max points in the pole vault as freshman Brian Schloeder won his first collegiate event with a mark of 4.95m (16' 2.75"). Sophomore Gavin Anderson secured the max points opportunity with a height of 4.80m (15' 9") for three points. Freshman Joey Marlow placed second overall with a mark of 4.95m (16' 2.75") but was unable to score. Marlow has finished in the top three in both events he competed in this season.
Murphy Smith began his senior indoor campaign off to a fast start winning the 3,000m event with a time of 8:10.51. Senior Alexander Kirkland rounded out Navy's scoring in the event placing fourth with a time of 8:13.34.
Junior William Yurich won the 200m with a career-best time of 21.66. Yurich's big day continued with a personal-best time of 6.93 in the 60m sprint.
Senior Benjemen Schneider won his second high jump event of the season with a mark of 2.05m (6' 8.75"). Freshman Nigel Vidale finished fourth with a jump of 1.90m (6' 2.75") to earn a team point.
On the women's side, Navy was unable to overcome a strong start by Princeton, dropping a 104-75 decision to the Tigers.
Senior
Jia Anderson led the charge to the Mids' first event victory of the day in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.59. Anderson was .02 seconds shy of tying the 10th fastest 60m hurdles time in program history.

London Davis finished first and third in the triple jump with marks of 11.89m (39' 0.25") and 10.67m (35' 0.25").
Navy ended the meet on a strong note winning the 4x800m relay with the quartet of

Mia-Claire Kezal clocking a time of 9:13.25.
