SPARKS, Md. – USA Lacrosse announced its Division I Women's Preseason All-Americans on Wednesday as part of its 2025 preseason coverage. Navy women's lacrosse had four student-athletes named to the list with seniors

Ava Yovino claiming honorable mention accolades.
In total, 76 players from 31 teams were honored as a Preseason All-Americans. Preseason All-Americans were compiled by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with consultation from college coaches.
Alyssa Daley – Draw Control / Defense | Sr. | 5-8 | Walkersville, Md.
Daley, a draw control specialist, enters her senior year with 268 career draws, which ranks fifth in the Navy annals. Daley had a breakout junior season in 2024, earning USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American (honorable mention), Inside Lacrosse All-American, IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region (second team), All-Patriot League (first team), and Patriot League All-Tournament Team. She broke the Navy single-season draw control record, finishing the year with 191 draw victories. Behind Daley's record-breaking season, Navy finished ranked first in the NCAA in draw control percentage (.687), while finishing second in the nation in draw controls per game (18.79). Individually, Daley ended the season ranked third in the NCAA in draw controls per game (10.05).
Emily Messinese – Attacker / Midfielder | Sr. | 5-4 | Manchester, Md.
Messinese has played and started 43 games in her career. The midfielder is a two-time First Team All-Patriot League performer, earning All-American honors from USA Lacrosse Magazine and Inside Lacrosse following her junior year. In her career, Messinese has 152 points on 122 goals and 30 assists, while adding 138 draw controls, 55 ground balls, and 21 caused turnovers. Last season, she finished with a team-best 86 points on a team-high 68 goals and 18 assists with 64 draw controls, 20 ground balls, and six caused turnovers. Messinese scored at least one goal in all 19 games with 17 multi-goal performances, including 16 hat tricks.
Tori DiCarlo – Attacker | Sr. | 5-7 | Rosemont, Pa.
DiCarlo, who was a First Team All-Patriot League selection last season, enters her final year of competition with 113 career points on 94 goals and 19 assists with 35 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers in 54 games played. Navy's top attacker in 2024, she finished the season with 72 points on 58 goals and 14 assists, leading the team with 15 free-position goals made, while adding 16 ground balls and eight caused turnovers. DiCarlo scored at least one goal in 17 straight games with 16 multiple goal performances (in 19 total games) with 14 hat tricks, including multiple goals in all nine Patriot League games with hat tricks in seven conference games.
Ava Yovino – Midfielder | Jr. | 5-8 | Parkland, Fla.
Yovino, who missed the 2024 season with an injury, finished her rookie campaign with 92 points on 42 goals and a team-best 50 assists during the 2023 season. Additionally, she finished her inaugural season with 51 draw controls, 25 ground balls, and 20 caused turnovers. Yovino earned several accolades throughout the course of her rookie season, being named to the Tewaaraton Watch List (first freshman in Navy history), USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American (honorable mention), Inside Lacrosse All-American (honorable mention), IWLCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region (second team – first freshman in Navy history), Inside Lacrosse Power 100 Freshman Preseason Watchlist, All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC), and First Team All-Patriot League.
