ANNAPOLIS, Md.—Navy senior nose guard Landon Robinson has been named a First-Team All-American by the Football Writers Association of America.

Robinson is the first Navy player to be named an All-American by the FWAA since 1983 when running back Napoleon McCallum was selected.   He is the first defensive player from Navy selected since safety Chet Moeller in 1975 and is the first defensive lineman from Navy to be selected Greg Mather in 1961 (played end on both offense and defense).

Ironically, McCallum (Cincinnati), Moeller (Kettering) and Robinson (Fairlawn) all hail from Ohio).

Robinson has also been named a First-Team All-American by the Associated Press, Sports Illustrated and USA Today.  He was named a Second-Team All-American by Walter Camp and The Sporting News.

Robinson was the only player from a non-autonomy four school to make the first team on offense or defense.  Punter Evan Crenshaw from Troy was the only other non-autonomy four player to be named First-Team All-American by the FWAA.

Robinson, who was also named the American Conference Defensive Player of the Year, has recorded 58 tackles, a team-high 8.5 tackles for a loss, a team-high 6.5 sacks and a team-high seven hurries for the Mids this season. He is second in the American in sacks per game.

#22 / #25 Navy is coming off a 17-16 win over Army to win the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy in back-to-back years for the first time since 2012-13.  With the win, Navy improved to 10-2 on the year marking the first time in school history that Navy has won 10 games or more in consecutive seasons.  Navy can tie the school record of 11 wins (2019 and 2015) with a win against Cincinnati in the Liberty Bowl.

Robinson, who came to Navy as a linebacker, is known for his prolific strength as he has been named to Bruce Feldman's (The Athletic) Freaks List three times in his career.

Robinson Squats 700lbs, benches 465lbs, power cleans 350lbs, has a 33-inch vertical and has run a top speed of 20.13mph according to Catapult. He was ranked #13 on Feldman's Freaks List for 2025.
