ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy wrestling team (1-3) returns to action this weekend when it travels to Las Vegas, Nev., for the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. The two-day tournament begins on Friday at noon ET / 9 a.m. PT and continues on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET / 10 a.m. PT.
This year's field features 32 teams, including 10 programs ranked in the top 25 of this week's National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) poll. A quartet of top-10 teams are set to compete in Vegas this weekend – Iowa State (3rd), Oklahoma State (5th), Virginia Tech (7th) and South Dakota State (8th).

CKLV Invitational Notes
- Navy will compete in the invitational for the 16th time in program history and the fifth under head coach Cary Kolat.
- The Mids finished 22nd out of 30 teams in last year's tournament.
- Navy is in search of its first individual champion at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational.
- Danny Wask has a 7-5 career record at the CKLV Invitational and has reached the podium each year he has entered. He finished fourth as a freshman (2023) and placed sixth last season.
- Team captain Kaemen Smith joins Wask as the only Midshipmen traveling this weekend with CKLV Invitational experience. He went 1-2 in the tournament as a freshman in 2022.
- Spencer Lanosga is off to a strong start to his collegiate career with a 7-0 record. He is the only undefeated Mid this season and is ranked 11th at 285 pounds in the latest InterMat rankings.
- Lanosga will be competing in his second tournament this season. He previously competed in the Navy Classic where he won the heavyweight crown with a 3-0 mark in the tournament.
- Caedyn Ricciardi (141 pounds) climbed to No. 15 in the national rankings after a 6-2 start to the season that includes three wins over ranked opponents.
- Zyan Hall entered the 197-pound rankings at 28 after he defeated 29th-ranked Robert Platt in the dual against North Carolina.
- Davis Park is 3-6 across three tournaments this season, including a 1-1 showing in his most recent outing at the Shorty Hitchcock Open.
- Navy is one of three military academies in the CKLV Invitational field along with Air Force and VMI.
- Three EIWA programs are competing this weekend – Franklin & Marshall, Navy and Sacred Heart.
