BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Navy's
Jason Keiser and
Zoie Tesi were among the Patriot League's first indoor track and field weekly award winners of the season, the league announced Tuesday. Keiser was named the Patriot League Men's Rookie of the Week and Tesi earned the women's field athlete-of-the-week accolade.
Navy opened the season last weekend at the Navy Indoor Invitational in what was the team's only meet until the start of the 2026 calendar year. The field for the non-scoring meet included Johns Hopkins, Loyola, Maryland, Mount St. Mary's and William & Mary.
Keiser won the 60m hurdles in a time of 8.17, placed eighth in a field of 18 in the 200m with a time of 22.21 and helped Navy's 4x400-meter (B) relay team to a third-place finish in a clocking 3:20.91.
Tesi won both the high jump and triple jump last weekend. She recorded a career-best clearance of 1.74 meters (5' 8") in the high jump and won her first career triple jump event with a leap of 11.81m (38' 9").
Her high jump mark ranks fourth in school history.
Navy returns to action Jan. 10 when it plays host to Princeton for its first dual meet of the season on Jan. 10 at Wesley A. Brown Field House.
