ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- All 10 members of the Navy men's tennis team who took to the courts Saturday recorded at least one victory as the Mids (6-2) posted a 6-1 victory over both Long Island (1-2) and Saint Joseph's (1-7) at the Tose Family Tennis Center in Annapolis.

Navy began the day with the victory over the Sharks.  The Mids earned victories at the Nos. 1 and 2 doubles flights to take a 1-0 lead.  Navy then win four straight set singles matches and five flights overall to come away with the victory. 

George Cutone and Luke Garner won a 6-2 decision at No. 1 doubles, then each won singles matches.  Garner tallied a 6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (12-10) victory at the No. 2 flight and Cutone posted a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 5 singles.

Navy then swept the three doubles matches to start its dual against the Hawks. Herrick Legaspi and Charlie Spencer formed the No. 2 doubles team which won a 6-2 decision as part of the sweep.  Legaspi then posted a 0-6, 6-4, 1-0 (13-11) victory at No. 3 singles and Spencer won a 6-4, 6-0 match at the No. 4 flight.  Spencer was one of three Mids to win in straight sets in the singles portion of the match.

The Mids will be back in the Tose Family Tennis Center on Feb. 8 for matches against Fairleigh Dickinson and Villanova.
