ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's tennis team will split its team in half this weekend and play two matches in Annapolis and two matches at the UTSA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.  The Mids (8-2) will play host to Hofstra (1-2) Friday at 4 p.m. and Hampton (0-1) Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Tose Family Tennis Center.  Navy also will face Florida Gulf Coast (1-5) Friday at 10 a.m. and Air Force (4-4) Saturday at 5 p.m. in Orlando.

Navy Review
The Mids swept their fourth-straight doubleheader last weekend in Annapolis as they posted 6-1 victories over Fairleigh Dickinson and Villanova.
Eleven Mids won at least one match on the day, with six earning two victories.  
Hofstra Preview
Hofstra has posted a 4-2 victory over Richmond and dropped a 7-0 match to Columbia and a 4-3 decision Queens (N.Y.) this season.
The Pride compiled a 7-11 record last season and received the No. 10 seed for the Coastal Athletic Association Tournament.  Hofstra lost its first-round match in the event.
Navy recorded a 4-3 victory over Hofstra last season to improve its record to 4-0 in the series.
Hampton Preview
Hampton heads into a Friday match against William & Mary having lost its lone dual of the season, a 4-3 defeat to Christopher Newport.
The Pirates ended the 2024 season with an overall record of 8-14.  Hampton, which garnered the No. 11 seed for the CAA Tournament, fell in the first round of the postseason tournament.
The Pirates lead the series with the Mids by the count of 2-1. This includes a 4-3 victory by Hampton over Navy last season.
Florida Gulf Coast Preview
The Eagles have posted a 1-5 record this season.  Florida Gulf Coast won a 6-1 decision over Southern Miss and lost matches to Florida State (4-0), Georgia Southern (4-1), Alabama State (4-3), UCF (4-0) and Florida (4-1).
FGCU will play Air Force Thursday.
The Eagles finished their 2024 campaign with an overall record of 5-15 and a 2-7 mark in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Friday's match will be the first between the Mids and the Eagles.
Air Force Preview
Air Force has split the eight matches its has played thus far this season.  Those wins have come against UC Davis (5-2), UC Riverside (4-1), Oral Roberts (6-1) and Metro State of Denver (7-0).  The Falcons have lost matches to Denver (6-1), Northern Arizona (5-2), Oklahoma (7-0) and Montana (5-2).
Air Force tallied a 6-14 record last season and finished Mountain West Conference play with a 1-5 record.
Navy holds a 5-1 advantage in the all-time series between the teams.  The last meeting also took place in Orlando where the Falcons posted a 4-2 victory over the Mids in 2023.
