The Navy men's golf team opens its spring season on Monday when it travels to Panama City, Fla. to compete in the Watersound Invitational. The three-day, 54-hole tournament will be played at the par 72 Sharks Tooth Golf Course at Watersound Club. Action is set to begin on Monday with tee times between 9-11:00 am. Navy will play alongside the hosts, Alabama and Florida State, in the opening round with the first tee time slated for 10:10 am (Hole #1). The Mids will play with Georgia Tech and Mississippi State in round two with the first tee time set for 10:10 am (Hole #10). Live scoring will be available on NavySports.com and Golfstat.com(.)

The Field
• A total of 6 teams ranked in the top 25 of the CLIPPD men's team rankings will be competing at the Watersound Invitational, including #11 Vanderbilt and #12 UCLA

The Course
• The 18-hole Shark's Tooth Golf Course is a Greg-Norman designed course tucked among the oaks and pines of a coastal sanctuary along the shores of the largest dune lake in Florida, Lake Powell
• The private course features the Shark's trademark wall-to-wall fairway cut, bright white bunkers the jut into the line of play, crushed coquina shell transition areas and slick-shouldered greens that fade into close-cropped chipping swales
• The course ranks among GolfDigest's top 50 in the country

Tarzy was Navy's top finisher in 3 of the 4 tournaments during the fall (Alex Lagowitz Memorial, The Goat, Commander-In-Chief's Cup), while Deegan paced the Mids at the Folds of Honor Collegiate.
