ANNAPOLIS, Md. -- The Navy men's tennis team will split its team and play four matches at four different sites this weekend. The slate begins for the Mids (12-11, 1-0 Patriot League) with Saturday noon matches at Brown (14-5) and at Coppin State (0-6). Navy then will play Sunday matches at Boston University (0-6, 0-1 Patriot League) and at home against Temple (7-6). The match for the Mids against the Terriers is slated to start at 10 a.m. at Harvard's Murr Tennis Center and the 1 p.m. match against the Owls will be played indoors at the Tose Family Tennis Center.

Navy Review
Navy played only two of its six scheduled matches during the team's spring break trip to Southern California last week. The Mids lost to Yale (4-0) and UC Irvine (6-1) and saw rain cancel their matches against UC Riverside, UC San Diego, Loyola Marymont and Point Loma.
Brown Preview - Saturday, Noon, Brown Tennis Courts
The only losses incurred by the Bears this season have come to opponents who appear in this week's national rankings. Those losses have been to current No. 10 Harvard (4-1), No. 46 Yale (4-0), No. 47 Purdue (4-3), No. 57 Indiana (4-0) and No. 72 St. John's (6-1). Brown also has posted wins over Boston (7-0), Delaware (4-2), Holy Cross (6-1) and an NJIT team (4-3) that was ranked 70th at the time of the match.
Brown compiled a 5-20 record last season and lost all seven of its matches against Ivy League opponents.
Navy holds a 28-18 advantage in the all-time series between the teams, which began in 1950. The teams last met in 2007.
Coppin State Preview - Saturday, Noon, Coppin State Tennis Courts
Included among the losses suffered by the Eagles this season have been defeats to the College of Charleston (7-0) and Saint Joseph's (7-0).
Coppin State finished the 2024 season with a 1-17 record, which included a 0-5 record against Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference foes. One of those losses was a 7-0 defeat to Navy. The result gave the Mids a 12-0 lead in the series between the teams.
Boston Preview - Sunday, 10 a.m., Murr Tennis Center (Harvard)
The Terriers will face Merrimack on Friday before they play the Mids on Sunday. Boston has lost matches to Brown (7-0) and to a St. John's team (7-0) that was ranked 66th at the time of the match.
Boston registered a pair of victories over Navy last season. The Terriers won a 4-2 decision in Annapolis during the regular season and a 4-3 match in the finals of the Patriot League Tournament in West Point.
Temple Preview - Sunday 1 p.m., Annapolis, Md.
The Owls have recorded wins this season over Saint Joseph's (5-2) and UC Riverside (4-2) and dropped matches to current No. 69 Penn State (4-2), Brown (5-2), Delaware (4-0) and UC Irvine (4-0).
Temple tallied a 7-14 record last season, an overall mark that included a 4-0 loss to Navy. The result snapped a two-match winning streak by Temple in the series as it had posted 4-3 wins in both 2022 and '23. Three of the last six matches between the teams have had the final score of 4-3. Navy holds a 25-6 advantage in the series.
