All-Patriot League defenseman
AJ Marsh (So / Reisterstown, Md.) has been named to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Div. I National Team of the Week which recognizes the 10 best individual performances from the previous week by players from around the country.
Marsh was stellar in Navy's 14-8 victory over Lafayette a week ago where the defense held the Leopards to single digits for just the second time this season and held them to their second-fewest goals of the season. Marsh not only covered Riley Sullivan, the nation's #2 point producer (6.67) and #1 assist distributor (3.89), he held him to just a single point (a goal) in the contest.
Marsh was also instrumental in the Mids' transition game where he has been lethal this season. He scored a goal and dealt out a pair of assists for a career-best three-point performance against Lafayette.
On the year, Marsh has scored 8 points on 4 goals and 4 assists. He is tied for third on Navy's career points list by a pole with 13 and is tied for sixth on the career goals by a pole leader board with 6.
Navy (7-4, 3-2 Patriot League) will be back in action on Saturday when one of the most storied rivalries in college athletics takes center stage with the Army-Navy game.
