ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Highlighted by senior
Emily Tannenbaum breaking another program record, the Navy women's tennis team (16-11) returned home for its final regular-season match of the season Friday afternoon and posted a 7-0 victory over Howard (8-8) at the Fluegel-Moore Tennis Stadium.
With Tannenbaum recording her 25th doubles win of the campaign to set the new program single-season record, the Midshipmen used a quick start in both doubles and singles action against the Bison to secure its second-straight victory heading into next week's Patriot League Tournament.

Olivia Fermo soon after defeated the top Howard pairing of Imani Jean and Ava Chambers in a 6-2 match to lock up the doubles point. Senior captain

Julia Lee then finished the doubles sweep with a 6-3 victory against Sofia Lindholm and Lauren Oliver at the No. 3 spot.
Navy got another fast decision to begin singles play when rookie
Molly Bellia tallied a 6-0, 6-0 win over Lindholm at the No. 5 position, while
Kate Lee followed with her own 6-0, 6-0 win on the sixth court against Hanna Dessie.
Gu then secured the Navy win by knocking off Hall in a 6-1, 6-2 battle on the fourth court and Tannenbaum shortly after grabbed a 6-2, 6-0 victory against Sifa Butcher at the top flight.
Closing out the afternoon, freshman
Grace Li notched a 6-3, 2-6, 10-8 win facing off with Jean in the No. 2 slot, while senior
Parvathi Shanker held on to beat Stibbins on the third court, 6-0, 4-6, 10-5.

• Navy is now 11-2 in the all-time series with Howard, winning the last nine meetings.
