DiCarlo Repeats as Patriot League Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Tori DiCarlo was named the 2025 Women’s Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while Grace Peterson was also tabbed academic all-conference.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – A pair of Midshipmen student-athletes were selected to the 2025 Women's Lacrosse Academic All-Patriot League Team on Wednesday morning, as announced by the conference office. Senior attacker Tori DiCarlo led the duo of academic achievers as the 2025 Patriot League Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year. In addition to DiCarlo's top honor, senior defender Grace Peterson was also selected to the 13-member academic squad.
 
It is the second consecutive Scholar-Athlete of the Year selection for DiCarlo. Last season, she became the first Midshipmen since Mary Ruttum ('10), who earned the honor as a senior in 2010, to claim the League's top academic honor. It is the third time in program history that a Midshipmen has been named Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
 
The Mids have had at least one player selected to the Academic All-Patriot League Team each season since 2011.
 
To be eligible for the Patriot League Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Patriot League awards, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen are not eligible for this honor.
 
DiCarlo is an honors oceanography who boasts a cumulative 3.99 grade point average. DiCarlo, who garnered her second all-conference accolade of her career earlier this week, finished the regular season with 40 points on 28 goals and 12 assists, while adding nine ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers. The senior scored at least one goal in 15 of 17 regular-season games with six multiple goal performances with four hat tricks. DiCarlo scored goals in all nine Patriot League games with five multi-goal performances in conference games.
 
Peterson, who has a 3.95 GPA in chemistry, is an anchor of the Navy defense that has held 10 opponents to single-digit goals. The senior finished the regular season with 19 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers, while adding an assist. The Mound, Minn. native was vital in the transition game, helping Navy to a 90.5 clearing percentage (238 of 263), which ranked second (2nd) in the Patriot League. Peterson is a three-time member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, while also being named to the Superintendent's List six times, the Commandant's list seven times, and the Dean's List.
