Johnson City, Tenn. – The Navy women's triathlon team delivered strong individual performances at the ETSU Buccaneer Collegiate Cup on Friday night in Johnson City, Tenn. The race format consisted of a 400-yard swim, an 8-kilometer bike and a 2-kilometer run.

Navy scored 145 total points and finished fourth out of six teams. Queens University of Charlotte won the event with 203 points. East Tennessee State followed with 169, while Lenoir-Rhyne finished third with 168.

"The goal today was to execute and we did that," said Navy head coach
Billy Edwards. "We competed and are closing in on where we want to be. With a young team, I was stoked to see them go up against some high-quality opponents. It was a great opener, and we are excited to battle again on Sunday."

A quartet of Mids placed in the top 25 in a field of 46 competitors.
Natalie Wang led the way for Navy with 10
th place finish with a time of 28:39.90. Close behind was Keira Wilkerson, who placed 11th in 28:54.22.
Dylan Cashin secured 18th in 29:23.71, just ahead of teammate
Madelyn Berry, who claimed 19th overall with a time of 29:28.75.
Allison Miller finished in 22nd-place in a time of 30:08.20.
Navy will compete at the Bulldog Super Sprint Kickoff on Sunday at 8 a.m. in Wingate, N.C.
