Johnson City, Tenn. – The Navy women's triathlon team delivered strong individual performances at the ETSU Buccaneer Collegiate Cup on Friday night in Johnson City, Tenn. The race format consisted of a 400-yard swim, an 8-kilometer bike and a 2-kilometer run.

Navy scored 145 total points and finished fourth out of six teams. Queens University of Charlotte won the event with 203 points. East Tennessee State followed with 169, while Lenoir-Rhyne finished third with 168.

"The goal today was to execute and we did that," said Navy head coach Billy Edwards. "We competed and are closing in on where we want to be. With a young team, I was stoked to see them go up against some high-quality opponents. It was a great opener, and we are excited to battle again on Sunday."
