ANNAPOLIS, Md. – A familiar foe awaits the Navy men's soccer team (1-2-4, 0-0-1 PL) as it wraps up a short two-match homestand on Tuesday evening, as the Midshipmen play non-conference rival UMBC (4-1-1, 0-0-0 AE) in a 7 p.m. contest at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility.
 
The in-state foes will square off in their 34th all-time meeting on Tuesday, with the two sides playing to a draw in each of their last three matchups. Tuesday's match is set to stream on ESPN+, with Tim Nolan calling the action.
 
No Place Like Home
The Mids have posted an impressive 19-10-15 mark at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility since the start of the 2021 season … Navy has outscored opponents, 62-39, in those 44 games … Head coach Tim O'Donohue is 38-25-20 in his career at Glenn Warner … Senior Andrew Schug has seven goals and two assists in 26 career home games, while fellow senior A.J. With both sides scoring late, Navy battled back to salvage a 1-1 draw with Holy Cross in their Patriot League opener Saturday afternoon in Annapolis … Despite both the Mids and Crusaders generating chances in the opening half, the scoring did not come until the midway point of the second half when Archie Hatcher gave Holy Cross the lead at 68', but JP Torres got a feed from Bryce Robisch and notched his first collegiate goal in the 77th minute for the equalizer and helping Navy pick up its first point in the league standings … The draw saw Robert Eaton finish with four saves, while Holy Cross' Mateo Buyu ended the day with three saves on his ledger, as Navy closed with the 10-7 shot advantage.

The current Navy seniors have gone 18-23-22 in their time in Annapolis, going 9-8-11 in league play and making a pair of Patriot League Tournaments, including winning the 2022 league title as freshmen … The Mids are 6-1-3 all-time when A.J. All soccer contests at Glenn Warner will be free of charge, as Fans 18 and over need a government-issued photo ID. Fans are reminded that the general public does not have access to drive their vehicles on to the U.S. Naval Academy. Fans may park at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for a fee and take a shuttle that will run every 10 minutes starting one hour before the game and will continue running until one hour after the game is completed. Enter the Stadium's Gate 5 off Taylor Ave. to park. Pedestrians may also walk through the Naval Academy's Gate 1 or Gate 8. Dogs are not permitted inside the Glenn Warner Soccer Complex.
