ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Freshman
Juliet Frum (women's cross country) and senior
Roanin Krieger (men's rugby) were named NAAA Co-Athletes of the Week for their performances over the weekend.
Competing in her first collegiate race, Frum clocked a time of 22:28.8 to claim individual medalist honors in the 6K race and help Navy to a first-place finish as a team at the Cantello Invitational on Saturday morning at the USNA Golf Course. The freshman won the race by nearly 20 seconds (18.8) over UMBC junior Alexis Tepper (22:47.6). Led by Frum, Navy posted a team-low score of 19 to win the team competition by 36 points.
Krieger became the second athlete in program history to score 30 points in a game — joining Lewis Gray — as he led all Navy players in scoring for the second-straight game in a 65-3 win over Mary Washington. He converted all eight of his kicks after tries, made three penalty kicks and added a try of his own early in the second half.
