BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Brian Schloeder and
Jason Keiser from the Navy men's indoor track & field team received weekly honors from the Patriot League, the league office announced today. Schloeder was named the field athlete of the week while Keiser collected rookie-of-the-week honors for the second time this season.
Â
Schloeder delivered a standout performance at the Wesley Brown Invitational, tying the 10th-best pole vault mark in program history to earn his first weekly award of the season. He cleared 5.20 meters (17 feet, 0.75 inches) to win the event over Walter Bannerman's height of 5.00 meters (17-0.75).
Â
Keiser captured the 60-meter hurdles at the meet in a photo finish, crossing the line in 8.05 seconds to edge George Mason's Davian Burke by one-hundredth of a second. Keiser now owns the two fastest times on the team this season after previously clocking an 8.17 at the Navy Indoor Invitational.

Navy returns to action this weekend in Philadelphia at the Penn Elite. Competition begins at 11 a.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
