ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy track & field teams will host the Navy Select on Friday at Wesley Brown Field House in their final tune-up before the Patriot League Indoor Championships. Field events begin at 10 a.m., followed by track events at 12:45 p.m.

Accessing the Naval Academy
• Vehicle access to the U.S. Naval Academy is restricted to drivers with a Department of Defense ID card. All other visitors must park outside USNA grounds.
• Fans can either walk through Gate 1 security checkpoints or take complimentary shuttles from Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
• Anyone 18 or older must present a Real ID or passport. Visitors 17 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
• Shuttles will operate from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday from the stadium's Blue/West parking lot (press box side), accessible via Gate 5 off Taylor Avenue. Parking is $10.

Navy produced a weekend full of record-setting and season-best performances last week at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational in Boston and the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational in Lynchburg, Va., highlighted by a school record from Dane Eike.

Matt Newell opened the weekend in Boston with the second-fastest mile in Navy history, clocking 3:59.33 to place 14th.

Continuing the success in Boston, Eike followed with a school record in the 3,000 meters, posting a time of 7:53.84 to finish 20th and surpass Murphy Smith's previous mark of 7:55.05.

In the women's 60-meter hurdles at the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational,
Jia Anderson placed third overall in the prelims and won her heat with an 8.48, the seventh-best time in school history. She advanced to the final and finished fourth with the program's fourth-best mark of 8.44.

Wyatt Shaw won the long jump with the second-best mark in program history at 7.52 meters (24-08.25) and placed second in the high jump at 2.01 meters (6-7) in Lynchburg.

Olivia Baird won the pole vault for the second straight meet at the Darius Dixon meet, clearing 3.90 meters (12-09.25).

Wyatt Shaw Garners League Weekly Award
Shaw was named the Patriot League Men's Field Athlete of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday. The honor marks Shaw's first Patriot League weekly award of the season and the second of his career.
