CLERMONT, Fla. – Led by top-10 performances from
Natalie Wang and
Dylan Cashin, the Navy women's triathlon team closed out its season with a strong showing at the Clermont Draft Legal on Saturday and Sunday.

The Mids first competed in the Elite Development race on Saturday, which consisted of a 750-meter swim, a 20K (12.4-mile) bike and a 5K (3.1-mile) run. On Sunday, Navy participated in an NCAA event featuring a 375-meter swim, a 10K (6.2-mile) bike and a 2.5K (1.55-mile) run.

There were 74 competitors in Saturday's race and 45 in Sunday's event. Neither race featured team scoring.

"The team put together some solid performances and showed the work we've done over the winter has set us up for good things next season," head coach
Billy Edwards said.

Wang opened the weekend with a seventh-place finish in the Elite Development race, posting a time of 59:44. Cashin crossed the line in 1:00:44 to place 16th, while
Keira Wilkinson finished 27 seconds later in 1:01:11 to take 20th.
Madelyn Berry also turned in a strong performance, placing 23rd with a time of 1:01:34.

Allison Miller (1:02:56) and
Leah Norton (1:03:27) finished 34th and 38th, respectively, while
MC Kistler (1:03:41) rounded out the Mids in 41st.

Navy continued its strong weekend in Sunday morning's NCAA race. Cashin edged Wang for a fifth-place finish, recording a time of 34:07, while Wang placed sixth in 34:15.

Berry (35:10), Wilkinson (35:12) and Miller (35:24) followed to place 13th, 14th and 16th, respectively. Norton finished 21st in 35:55, and Kistler closed out the day for the Mids with a 28th-place time of 36:40.
