Navy began the match by posting 6-2 wins at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles to take a 1-0 lead.  Aniketh Ayinala and J.J. Etterbeek combined for the win at No. 3 doubles over Andrew Andea and Jaydon Barki in the first match to finish.  The Mids clinched the point when Lachlan Buckingham and Jake Young defeated David Asenov and Adrian Quiros at the No. 2 flight.  The remaining match at No. 1 doubles featuring Navy's Herrick Legaspi and Charlie Spencer going up against Boston's Jakob Esterowitz and Payton Jim On was tied at 5-5 when play was halted.

Legapsi posted a 6-2, 6-3 win over Esterowitz at No. 1 singles to make the score 2-0.  It became a 3-0 cushion when Ayinala defeated Asenov, 6-4, 6-2, at No. 2 singles.  Securing the fourth team point was Buckingham with a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Ege Topkoc at the No. 6 flight.

Young gave Navy four straight-set victories when he closed out a 6-2, 7-5 decision over Andea at No. 4 singles.

The remaining two matches featured a 10-point tiebreaker used in place of a complete third set.  Those saw Spencer defeat Jim On, 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-8) at No. 3 and Etterbeek rally to defeat Quiros, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7) at No. 5.

The teams played three close doubles matches with the Dukes winning two of them to tally the point.

JMU's Esteve Agusti and Aurelien Schmitt defeated Ethan Garcia and Jason Kim by the score of 6-4 at the No. 1 flight in the first match to finish.  Navy evened the score when George Cutone and Steve Nguyen won a 6-3 decision in their No. 2 match against Zach Fleishman and Gur Libal.  The Dukes secured the point with a 6-4 victory by their No. 3 team of Harrison Lee and Francisco Sinopoli over Kai Edwards and Daniel Seo.

James Madison went on to win five singles matches in straight sets until Nguyen rallied to record a 3-6, 7-6 (7-2), 1-0 (10-7) victory over Sinopoli at No. 3 singles.
