DANBURY, Conn. -- Navy's Austin Benigni has garnered Second-Team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) accolades, the organization recently announced.  He is the first Mid to earn the honor since the current format for the awards began in the early 1990s.

Players from schools located in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions were eligible to be nominated for the award. 

Benigni, this year's Patriot League Player of the Year and an NABC Second-Team All-District honoree, finished second in the Patriot League in scoring (18.0 ppg) and fourth in assists (4.4 apg).  The senior also ranked among the NCAA leaders in points (612, 64th) and assists (149, 96th) and minutes played (36:09, 30th).
