Women’s Lacrosse Claims Three Weekly Patriot League Honors

Alyssa Chung (attacker), Mikayla Williams (midfielder), and Jalin Jenkins (defender) were each named Athletes of the Week.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its weekly award winners for women's lacrosse and three Navy student-athletes were among those recognized. Alyssa Chung was named Attacker of the Week, while Mikayla Williams claimed Midfielder of the Week and Jalin Jenkins earned Defender of the Week.

The trio helped lead Navy to a 14-8 victory over #14 Army in the annual Star Game on Saturday afternoon.

Chung paced the offense with a career-high eight points on a team-high five goals and a career-best three assists, while adding three ground balls, three caused turnovers, and a career-high two draw controls. The sophomore has now scored multiple goals in all 15 Patriot League games that she has played with 13 hat tricks in conference play. Chung helped start Navy's 10-0 with an assist on Maggie DeFabio's goal that opened the run that allowed the Mids to take control of the game. She added an assist on Taylor Mile's goal during the run that put the Midshipmen in front 6-3. The sophomore's first goal of the game put Navy in front 7-3. Chung capped the 10-0 run with back-to-back goals in the third quarter to extend the advantage to 11-3. Following an Army goal, she pushed the lead back to eight at 12-4. The Severna Park native had an assist on Anna Gotterup's goal in the fourth quarter before notching the final Navy goal of the day to give the Mids 14 total goals on the day.

Williams recorded a season-high six points on a season-best three goals and a career-high three assists, while adding four draw controls on the day. Williams recorded her seventh hat trick of the season. She scored the first goal of the game for the Midshipmen in the first quarter. The junior had an assist on DeFabio's second goal that tied the game at 3-3. She scored to give Navy its first lead of the day at 4-3. Williams added an assist on Chung's goal that pushed the score to 7-3. The Bexley, Ohio native scored what proved to be the game-winning goal to put Navy in front 9-3, while adding an assist on Chung's goal that pushed the advantage to 12-4.

Jenkins anchored a Navy defense that held its eighth opponent (fifth Patriot League opponent) to single digits. She marked Army's Allison Reilly, holding the conference's Preseason Attacker of the Year and one of the most prolific scorers in the Patriot League without a point, marking the first time in 2026 that Reilly was held scoreless. The junior picked up a ground ball. Additionally, the Chevy Chase, Md. native helped facilitate the offense, aiding in Navy converting 21 clear attempts.

Up next, Navy hits the road for a pair of Patriot League games. The Midshipmen travel to Easton, Pa. to take on Lafayette on Wednesday, April 15 (6:30 p.m.) before making the trip to Hamilton, N.Y. to play Colgate on Saturday, April 18 (11:00 a.m.).
