Giglio Highlights Navy’s All-Conference Selections

Navy had seven players named All-Patriot League, including Goalkeeper of the Year Felicia Giglio.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Seven members of the Navy women's lacrosse team were named to the 2026 All-Patriot League Teams announced Monday afternoon by the conference office. The Midshipmen tallied five first-team selections – Alyssa Chung (attack), Felicia Giglio (goalkeeper), Jaclyn Johns (defense), Mikayla Williams (midfield), and Ava Yovino (midfield) – while also claiming a pair of second-team honors – Maggie DeFabio (midfield) and Emma Kennedy (attack). Additionally, Giglio was selected as the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year.
 
It is the fifth consecutive season that Navy has had four or more first-team all-conference selections. Giglio officially becomes the first PL Goalkeeper of the Year in program history. She is the second Midshipmen goalie to earn a major award, joining Annie Foky ('15) who was named Defender of the Year in 2013. (NOTE: The Patriot League recognized a Goalkeeper of the Year from 2005-10; it resumed in 2019).
 
Overall, 34 student-athletes made the two All-Patriot League squads, with 17 claiming first-team accolades and another 17 receiving a spot on the second team.
 
Nine (9) of the 10 Patriot League teams were represented on the all-conference list. Top seeds Navy and Army placed a League-high seven student-athletes on the two teams. Loyola followed with six selections, while Holy Cross had four players recognized. Boston University and Bucknell had three selections apiece, with American earning two spots on the teams. Colgate and Lehigh both had one representative.
 
Patriot League women's lacrosse head coaches voted on the All-League teams and major awards. They were prohibited from voting for their student-athletes or themselves.
 
 
First Team All-Patriot League
Alyssa Chung – Attacker | So. | 5-7 | Severna Park, Md. | Severna Park

Navy's top attacker on the year, Chung finished the regular season with a team-high 90 points on a team-best 62 goals with 28 assists, while adding 24 ground balls, 16 caused turnovers, and 11 draw controls. The sophomore concluded the regular season ranked in the top 10 in the Patriot League in goals (1st), free position goals per game (1st), free position percentage (1st), points (2nd), goals per game (2nd), points per game (3rd), assists (5th), and assists per game (8th). Chung recorded 15 multi-goal performances in the regular season (17 games total), including 12 hat tricks. In Patriot League games, Chung led Navy with 55 points on a team-best 36 goals, while adding 19 assists. She recorded multiple goals in all nine conference games with seven hat tricks.
 
Felicia Giglio – Goalkeeper | Jr. | 5-7 | Bayport, N.Y. | Bayport Blue-Point
Giglio claimed First Team All-Patriot League distinction for the first time in her career. The junior was part of a Navy defense that has held eleven (11) opponents (eight Patriot League teams) to single-digit goals, finishing the regular season with 114 saves with a 7.68 goals against average and a 48.3 save percentage. Giglio served as the anchor of the Navy defense that ranked third in the NCAA (first in the Patriot League) in scoring margin, while ranking ninth in the NCAA (first in the Patriot League) in scoring defense. Individually, she led the Patriot League in goals against average and save percentage, while ending the regular season ranked sixth and 15th in those categories, respectively.
 
Jaclyn Johns – Defense | Jr. | 5-5 | Marietta, Ga. | Blessed Trinity Catholic
Johns earned her first postseason all-conference recognition. The junior finished the regular season with
27 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers with a pair of draw controls. Throughout the season, She was consistently asked to mark opponents' key offensive weapons holding several players below their season averages, including holding seven of the nine top scorers she guarded in Patriot League play to one or fewer goals in the game. Johns and the Navy defense held eleven (11) opponents (eight Patriot League teams) to single-digit goals to rank third in the NCAA (first in the Patriot League) in scoring margin, while ranking ninth in the NCAA (first in the Patriot League) in scoring defense.
 
Mikayla Williams – Midfielder | Jr. | 5-4 | Bexley, Ohio | Bexley
Williams claimed her third All-Patriot League nod of her three-year career. She played and started 16 of 17 games, finishing the regular season with 47 points on 32 goals and 15 assists, while adding 20 draw controls, 12 ground balls, and three caused turnovers. Williams concluded the regular season ranked in the top 10 in the Patriot League in free position goals per game (8th) and shot percentage (8th). The junior scored goals in 13 games with multiple goals in 11 games, including eight hat tricks.
 
Ava Yovino – Midfielder | Sr. | 5-8 | Parkland, Fla. | St. Thomas Aquinas
Yovino picked up her third all-conference selection and her second first-team accolade. The senior team captain closed out the regular season with 48 points on 19 goals and a team-high 29 assists with 57 draw controls, 36 ground balls, and 22 caused turnovers. Individually, she finished the regular season ranked in the top 15 in the Patriot League in assists (4th), assists per game (6th), ground balls per game (9th), caused turnovers per game (10th), draw controls per game (10th), and points (15th). Additionally, Yovino was tabbed an Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American and was named to the Tewaaraton Award Top 25 Nominees.
 
Second Team All-Patriot League
Maggie DeFabio – Midfielder | Sr. | 5-6 | Summit, N.J. | Summit

DeFabio earned her first all-conference honor, being selected to the second team. The senior finished the regular season with 26 points on 19 goals and seven assists, while adding 27 ground balls, 10 caused turnovers, and a pair of draw controls. A true midfielder, DeFabio has a hand in both the offense and defense, helping Navy rank third in the NCAA (first in the Patriot League) in both scoring offense and scoring margin, while coming in ninth in the NCAA (first in the Patriot League) in scoring defense.
 
Emma Kennedy – Attacker | Sr. | 5-6 | Cooksville, Md. | Glenelg
Kennedy, who was selected as team captain prior to the season, earned a spot on the All-Patriot League second team for the first time in her Navy career. She finished the regular season with 50 points on 43 goals and seven assists, while adding 20 draw controls, 17 ground balls, and nine caused turnovers. Kennedy scored at least one goal in all 17 games with multiple scores in 12 games, including six hat tricks.
