COLLEGE PARK, Md. — The Navy women's golf team finished its regular season by tying for 14th place at the nearby Terps Invitational, wrapping up play at the three-round tournament on Monday in College Park, Md.
Playing on the par-72, 6,244-yard University of Maryland Golf Course, the Midshipmen tied with Yale for 14th in the final team standings, posting a 54-hole team total of 61-over par 925. Navy opened the event with a 318 in the first round Saturday but bounced back significantly to shoot a team-best 293 in the second round, while the Mids closed the event with a 314 in Monday's final round.
Junior golfer
Emma Tang led the way for the Navy lineup, carding a 13-over par 229 to finish in a four-way tie for 49th place. Tang recorded rounds of 80, 73 and 76 to anchor the team's scoring.
Finishing three strokes behind Tang at 16-over-par 232, sophomore
Vivian Cressman tied for 63rd overall with three others by shooting rounds of 80, even-par 72 and 80.
Fellow sophomore
Megan Kirkpatrick placed in a tie for 69th with an 18-over-par 234 (77-80-77), while junior
Keira Howard posted a 19-over-par 235 (82-72-81) that also featured a strong even-par 72 in her second round.
Senior
Sue Lee rounded out the primary lineup with a 22-over-par 238, posting rounds of 81, 76 and 81.
Additionally, freshman
Elizabeth Hang competed as an individual, finishing in 82nd place with a 22-over-par 238 (78-77-83).
Virginia captured the top spot on the team leaderboard with a 4-under par 860, while the Cavaliers' Jaclyn LaHa took home the individual medal by shooting 5-under par 211 (74-67-70) for the tournament.
Navy returns to action when it hosts the 2026 Patriot League Championship on April 17-19 at the U.S. Naval Academy Golf Club.
