Intercollegiate Sailing Garners Three ICSA All-Americans

Nathan Smith Named All-American for Third Time, Allgeier and Cullen Earn Honorable Mention All-America Status for Second-Straight Year

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – After another impressive showing at the Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association championships this year, the Navy intercollegiate sailing team had three Midshipmen honored when the ICSA All-America Teams were announced Monday.

Senior Nathan Smith was named to the All-America Open Skipper Team, while junior Henry Allgeier was honored for his efforts as an Honorable Mention All-America Open Skipper and fellow junior Fiona Cullen was recognized among the Honorable Mention All-America Crew.

Becoming a three-time All-American, Smith was selected as an All-America Open Skipper for the second-straight year and was previously named an Honorable Mention All-American Open Skipper in 2023. Allgeier and Cullen each earned their honorable mention All-American statuses for the second consecutive season as well.

The All-America accolades follow a busy spring season for the trio, as Smith was named the MAISA Open Skipper of the Year and joined Allgeier on the All-MAISA Open Skipper First Team in April while Cullen received First-Team All-MAISA Crew selection back in April.

Smith, Allgeier and Cullen were also among the eight Mids named to the ICSA All-Academic Team last month as well.
