Eight Members of Navy Women's Rowing Team Noted as CRCA Scholar-Athletes

Harvey, Rimmer and Snyder all collect third career honor

WILMINGTON, Del. - The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Assocation recently announced its list of 2026 CRCA Scholar-Athletes. The Mids had eight student-athletes honored for their success on the water and in the classroom. The trio of Mary Catherine Harvey (Loch Arbour, N.J.), Grace Rimmer (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Eleanor Snyder (Sherwood, Ore.) led the group of high achievers as they all earned their third and final nods after wrapping up their collegiate careers this past May.

For the 2026 season, all honorees needed to be in their second, third, fourth or fifth season of eligibility, rowed in her institution's NCAA eligible boats (V8, 2V8, V4) at their respective conference championship and have a 3.50 cumulative GPA or higher through the end of the fall semester.

The above mentioned group of Harvey, Rimmer and Snyder all competed with Navy's top two boats at the 2026 Patriot League Championship on May 15, as Rimmer and Harvey suited up with the first varsity eight crew, while Snyder rowed from the second seat of the second varsity eight. Majoring in Honors English, Cyber Operations and Honors Physics, the trio earned scholar-athlete accolades from the CRCA all three years they were eligible.

Fellow May graduate Isa Dugan (Princeton, N.J.) is the lone two-time honoree on this year's lists as she was recognized for her work as an Honors English major and rower with the second varsity eight crew.

Four first-time CRCA award winners are noted in the 2026 announcement led by the Patriot League's Women's Rowing Scholar-Athlete of the Year Laura Fern Jones (Kinston, N.C.), who holds a perfect 4.00 GPA in Chemistry, while manning the second seat of the first varsity eight boat. Jones' first varsity boatmate sophomore Paige Burke (Springfield, Va. - Chemistry) is joined by Abby Linson (Washington, D.C.) and Kate McMullin (Hudson, Ohio) as first-time honorees. Linson and McMullin raced this spring with Navy's first varsity four boat as sophomores.
