BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Patriot League announced the conference's weekly awards on Monday and Navy's Chiara Cosenza was the recipient of the Patriot League Forward of the Week honor. The senior was recognized for her effort as part of the Mids' 2-0 road trip to the state of Virginia this past weekend.

Cosenza played a prominent role in Navy's perfect weekend as she scored a goal and added an assist in the Mids' 5-0 victory at Radford on Thursday night.  Both of her points came within seven minutes of each other in the second half as Navy turned a 1-0 advantage into a substantial 3-0 edge.  Initially, Cosenza lofted a corner kick that found Ande Swan for a goal at 51:51 before being on the receiving of a Kayana Adlam pass for a goal at 58:20. The assist was the Westfield, New Jersey native's fourth of the season, while the goal was her first of her senior campaign. Cosenza followed up her performance with strong play on Sunday as Navy defeated VMI 3-0. For the week, Cosenza finished with one goal, one assist, eight shots, including three on goal over 101 minutes of action.

Winners five straight and undefeated in six consecutive games, the Mids will continue non-conference play on the road this week with a tilt at Towson on Thursday at 6 p.m. followed by Sunday matinee at Youngstown State at 1 p.m.
