Women for Navy Athletics welcomed back former members of Navy Women's Rowing for an alumni reunion weekend on October 6th and 7th in conjunction with homecoming weekend. This is the 5th female sport reunion that WFNA has hosted since it's establishment in 2016. Both past and present rowers gathered for a dinner Friday night in the Ron Terwilliger Center for Student-Athletes. On Saturday morning, Navy Crew dedicated two boats - one presented by the class of 1973 and the other by the class of 1983. The celebrations continued with an on field recognition during the Navy Football game against North Texas, and the weekend concluded with a Navy Crew alumni row on Sunday morning.
The reception was made possible by USAA and supporters of Women for Navy Athletics. The mission of WFNA is to reconnect female alumni with USNA and welcome back varsity alumni athletes every year. NWC has seen great success on the water and are the reining champions of the Patriot League. WFNA was honored to help bring these alumni together to celebrate the past, present team, and future of the program.
