•    At  Navy: Has played in 20 games during his career, starting 11 (11 Jr) ... enters the fall listed as the starter at center ... has earned 2 varsity letters.

•    2023: Saw action in all 12 contests, earning starts in each of the last 11 games ... part of an offensive line that allowed QB Xavier Arline (10-11, 90.2) to break the school record for single-game completion percentage (min. 10 completions) against East Carolina, a mark that was previously held by Marco Pagnanelli, who completed 88.2 percent (15-17) of his passes against Duke on Oct. 2, 1982 ... with 331 yards rushing against North Texas, the line helped allow Navy to rush for over 300 yards for the first time since the 2022 SMU contest (Oct. 14 / 372 yards) ... earned his first-collegiate start in the Mids’ home opener against Wagner ... part of an offensive line that allowed Navy to throw for 163 yards against the Seahawks, the most since the Mids threw for 239 yards against SMU on Oct. 31, 2020 ... played an active role in the Mids’ opener against Notre Dame.

• 2022: Appeared in 8 games, including making his collegiate debut in the Mids’ opener against Delaware ... part of an offensive line that allowed Navy to rush for 248 yards, the most UCF allowed on the ground in 2022 ... helped Navy amass 510 yards of total offense (372R / 138P) against SMU, the Mids’ first 500-yard game since Nov. 30, 2019 against Houston (447R / 107P / 554) ... it also marked the second-consecutive game Navy has rushed for 300-plus yards, the first time accomplishing that feat since 2019 when Navy did it the final 4 games ... Navy also recorded 32 first downs against SMU, the first time the Mids have had 30 first downs since Sept. 23, 2017 against Cincinnati (31) ... Navy had 101 plays against the Mustangs, the most since its 106 plays at Toledo (10-29-2013).

• High School / Personal: A 2020 graduate of Byron Nelson High School, Self attended the Naval Academy Prep School during the 2020-21 academic year ... a football letter winner who led Byron Nelson HS to the 2018 Bi-District Championship ... brother, Justin, is a 2021 graduate of the Naval Academy and was a starting offensive lineman for the football team ... son of the late Michael and Ginger Self ... majoring in quantitative economics.
