Naval Academy Athletics

As a Junior: Jessica competed in 11 events as a skipper. Some of Jessica’s best finished include first-place finish at the Seahawk Women’s Team Race, and second at the MAISA Spring Women’s Dinghy Championship. Jessica finished 10th at the Laser Performance Women’s Singlehanded Nationals.

As a Sophomore: Jessica competed in 13 events as a skipper. Jessica spent most of the season with the Women’s team as the A division skipper where she placed third in the MAISA Women’s championship and led Navy to the Women’s nationals. 

As a Freshman: Jessica competed in nine events in her first year of college sailing as a skipper, a crew, a laser sailor, and a valuable member of the women’s team. She also competed in the ICSA Women’s National Championship where Navy finished 18th. Her best finishes included a second place at the Fall Radial Open and a third place at Navy Fall Women’s.

Prior to Navy: Graduated from Palos Verdes High School in 2015. Graduated from Portsmouth Abbey School in 2016. Competed at Laser Worlds.  Daughter of Justin and Madeline McJones. Majoring in Chinese.
