Biography
As a Sophomore: Kelly competed in 13 regattas as a crew. She won the Seahawk Women’s Team Race and earned a second-place finish at both the Navy Spring Women’s regatta, and the Georgetown Team Race.
As a Freshman: Kelly competed in 21 regattas as a crew. She won the Aaron Szambecki Team Race and earned a second at the Truxtan Umsted and the Nevins trophy. Of her 21 regattas, only seven finishes were outside of the top five.
Prior to Navy: Graduated from Pine Lake Preparatory in Mooresville, North Carolina. She sailed throughout high school, at Portsmouth Abbey during her prep school year, and at Lake Norman and Charleston. She competed in Orange Bowl Regatta and the Leiter Cup; most of her experience has been in the 420. She also competed in cross country, track and swimming prior to Navy.
