Fall 2004:
Owned a 78.89 stroke average in the spring while competing in all four tournaments ... posted a nine-over par 225 in the three-round Service Academy Classic in which he tied for ninth ... responsible for two of Navy[apos]s four points in the annual Army-Navy meet ... teamed up with team captain Rocky Novellino to beat Austin Luher and Patrick Beverly , 1 up ... a day later he produced a 4 & 3 advantage over Luher to earn the singles point ... finished out the season with a 26th-place finish at the Bucknell Invitational in which he posted a 19-over par 159.

Fall 2003 - Spring 2004:
Did not see any action as a member of the Navy varsity team in the fall ... played in three tournaments in the spring and finished his first season with an 81.17 stroke average ... placed 39th at the Navy Spring Invitational with a 15-over par 157 ... turned in an 18-over par 160 at the William & Mary Invitational to finish tied for 73rd in his first-collegiate meet ... posted a 28-over par 170 at the Princeton Invitational, competing as an individual.

Personal:
Graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2003 from Strake Jesuit College Prep ... two-year letterwinner in golf, while also playing baseball as a prep ... Strake Jesuit was unable to compete in any team or individual state or district playoffs because private schools were restricted from such competition in the state of Texas until this year ... member of the National Honor Society ... uncle, Sandy Pierce, was a standout golfer for Texas A&M ... son of Mike Pierce and Lynnette Pierce ... born March 2, 1985, in Houston, Texas.
